Shelley was looking for a meaningful organization to get involved with that promoted and nurtured entrepreneurs. That’s when she heard about ACCESS through a community organization and became involved with ACCESS in August 2025 as a business workshop facilitator and business coach.

In her roles, she supports participants in developing their business ideas and understanding the importance of finances, bookkeeping and budgeting, leveraging her expertise in finance and compliance. She especially enjoys sharing her experience so participants can avoid common mistakes early on.

She was drawn to ACCESS because of the entrepreneurial mindset at the core of its work. She values the initiative, resilience, and ownership that entrepreneurship requires, and is interested in contributing to an environment that supports people in building something of their own.
