About ACCESS CCF

Removing barriers & building pathways to entrepreneurship

Our Legacy

For more than 25 years, ACCESS Community Capital Fund has been helping aspiring underserved and early stage entrepreneurs turn ideas into thriving businesses.

Across Canada, thousands of people have the skills, ideas, and determination to start businesses — but many face barriers to accessing financing, training, mentorship and professional networks.  ACCESS exists to change that.

We provide practical business training, mentorship, connect entrepreneurs to financing and community support to them from ideation to launch, and scaling their businesses.

By investing in entrepreneurs, we help strengthen local economies, create sustainable employment, and build stronger communities.

Who We Are

Our Mission

ACCESS Community Capital Fund empowers aspiring and underserved entrepreneurs facing barriers by providing access to training, mentorship, and facilitating financing so they can build sustainable businesses and contribute to their local economies.

What we Do

3 Core Areas of Support

Business Training

Our Business Lab program provides practical, real-world training that helps entrepreneurs move from idea to launch.

  • Business ideation and market research
  • Sales, marketing and customer segmentation
  • Financial forecasting and cash flow management
  • AI for business development and operations
  • Business plan development and execution

Mentorship & Networks

Through the Business Lab, participants connect with fellow entrepreneurs and experienced volunteer mentors who guide them on their journey.

  • Business advice and guidance
  • Industry-related insights
  • Accountability and encouragement
  • Connections to relevant resources and support

Business Financing

We connect entrepreneurs to the funding they need to launch and grow — bridging the gap between ambition and capital.

  • Access to lending programs and capital
  • Support from financial institution partners
  • Guidance through the financing process
  • Connections to philanthropic and community funders

Why We Exist

The challenge we address

Entrepreneurship is one of the most accessible and dynamic pathways to addressing poverty and financial insecurity.

However, many capable individuals face barriers that prevent talented entrepreneurs from launching businesses that could benefit both their families and their communities.

ACCESS exists to remove these barriers and create new opportunities for sustainable impact.

Limited access to business training and mentorship

Lack of financial support to launch and grow

Systemic barriers that favour more established businesses
