Anna Okorokov has been volunteering with ACCESS since November 2023, having discovered the volunteer opportunities after meeting a staff member at a Business Forum.
Anna is a lawyer by profession, specializing in litigation and business law. She uses her knowledge and skills to help ACCESS Business Lab participants as a Business Workshop Facilitator and Coach. Through the legal workshop and coaching sessions, Anna provides aspiring entrepreneurs with the legal tools they need to know in order to develop and launch their businesses in the right way in Canada. She helps them understand the various types of business registrations, laws and regulations in place for businesses.
As an entrepreneur herself, Anna chose to become involved with ACCESS in order to help other emerging entrepreneurs build strong foundations for their businesses. When she started her own business, she wished she had access to experienced mentors—so she is committed to being that resource for others.
Mentorship is also a two-way learning experience for Anna; every coaching session challenges her to refine her thinking, strengthen her advisory skills, and grow alongside the entrepreneurs she supports.
In her time at ACCESS, Anna has seen firsthand that small-step planning is essential to building a successful business. She believes that entrepreneurs do not need to be extraordinary to build thriving companies—they simply need preparation, clarity, and a thoughtful plan. She is proud to contribute to a community that empowers founders with practical tools, confidence, and support.
