Aleem Dhanani is a Corporate Development and M&A professional at BMO, where he partners with senior executives and colleagues across the bank’s global businesses to evaluate high-impact strategic initiatives related to acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and commercial partnerships, focusing on long-term value creation. Aleem was previously an investment banker at BMO Capital Markets advising clients in the financial institutions sector. He has over 15 years of professional experience and a strong background in financial analysis, governance, and strategic decision-making.
Aleem has also been a longtime ACCESS volunteer, serving as a Business Lab coach and Loan Review Committee member. Aleem is inspired by ACCESS’s work helping underserved entrepreneurs build skills, access capital, and create sustainable businesses that strengthen their families and communities. He has also volunteered at several other organizations including Campfire Circle, United Way, MaRS, and Junior Achievement.
Aleem holds an MBA from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management, a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen’s University, and is a CFA charterholder. Outside of work, Aleem enjoys tennis, cycling, soccer, skiing, traveling, and trying new restaurants.
